Cookie Policy
Last updated: 19 April 2026
This policy explains what cookies we use on this site, what each one does, and how you can control them. Written in plain English, not compliance theatre.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They help sites remember things like your preferences, session state, and aggregated analytics.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. Unless stated otherwise, this policy applies to all of them.
2. The cookies we use
Essential (no consent required)
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| ecs_consent | Stores your cookie consent choice so the banner doesn't reappear. | 12 months |
Third-party (only if you interact with them)
| Provider | Purpose | When set |
|---|---|---|
| Vimeo | Video playback for the studio walkthrough. Vimeo sets its own cookies when the player loads. | Only if you play the video |
| Google Fonts | Serves the Fraunces and Inter fonts used on this site. No tracking cookies; only an IP log as part of font delivery. | On page load |
| Google Forms | If you take the Authority Leak Audit, Google sets session cookies needed for the form to work. | Only on the audit form |
We do not currently use analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, Hotjar, or similar). If we add them in future, we'll update this policy and request consent.
We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
3. How to control cookies
On this site
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies via the banner shown on your first visit. To change your choice later, clear your browser cookies for this site and the banner will reappear.
In your browser
All modern browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies. Most let you reject third-party cookies by default. Instructions:
Blocking all cookies may break some features (e.g. video playback), but the core site content remains accessible.
4. Changes to this policy
We update this policy if our cookie use changes. Material changes are flagged on the homepage and reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
